In this talk by Dr. Hiromi Kinoshita, The Hannah L and J Welles Henderson Curator of Chinese Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, she gave an insightful overview on the origins of the museum's Chinese collection in the late 19th century, and how it was shaped over the next hundred years by different donors, directors, and dealers. Dr. Kinoshita also shared how the museum's Chinese art collection is displayed today as well as the inclusion of contemporary art alongside the traditional collection in recent exhibitions.
