Liu Kuo-sung Ink Art Award 2019

Established & funded by Liu Kuo-sung, the Liu Kuo-sung Ink Art Award is jointly presented by the Liu Kuo-sung Archives and the Ink Society. The Award will recognize outstanding achievement in the creation of contemporary ink art in the Greater China region.

A nominating committee composed of curators and art critics will propose candidates for consideration of the Liu Kuo Sung Award jury. The nominated candidates must be born in or after 1979. The submitted ink artworks must be 2D that can be displayed on a wall, excluding video art. A distinguished panel of jurists will decide on the winner of the Award.

2-3 works by the winner will be invited to present their work during Ink Asia, held from 3 to 7 October 2019, at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. The winner will be announced shortly before the fair begins. The official Award ceremony will take place on 5 October at Ink Asia, at 4:00pm. A cash prize of HKD100,000 will be awarded to the winner.
