The Hidden Life of Calligraphy in Middle Period Imperial China

Professor Ronald Egan presented a "behind-the-scenes" view of a few calligraphy pieces from the Song dynasty, including masterworks by Mi Fu, Huang Tingjian and Su Shi. Professor Egan spoke about how such calligraphy works reveal aspects of the lives and circumstances of the people who produced, gifted, inscribed and sold them.
