Beyond the Brush
Artist talk by Wai Pong-yu and Ling Pui Sze
Moderated by Olivia Wang, Representative of the Ink Society
This discussion presented two young and talented Hong Kong-based artists who draw from aspects of the ink painting tradition to forge their own artistic language. Both artists choose to eschew traditional brush and ink in favour of other artistic media and techniques. In this talk, the artists spoke about their artistic journey and practice, as well as how they interpret the ink tradition in their work.
