Dr Phil Chan, Associate Curator of the Art Museum, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, gave an insightful and illuminating presentation of modern Hong Kong calligraphy from the early twentieth century until present day. By examining a number of the works featured in the HKMoA's "City Rhymes: The Melodious Notes of Calligraphy" exhibition, as well as works from the collection of the Art Museum, CUHK, Phil shed light on the unique history, development and creativity of Hong Kong calligraphy.
