Paper making is one of the most fundamental and overlooked cornerstones of the art forms, laying the foundations for many of today’s masterpieces. Used over the centuries for art and archiving, Kamimori Foundation is one of Japan’s most respected paper studios, producing paper based on traditional techniques and contemporary R&D. Kei Takahashi, Technical Director, shared his expertise and insights on paper making, preservation and restoration, in Japan.
